Christensen Gulf Services LLC, formerly a joint venture with Baker Hughes, is a wholly owned company of Oilfields Supply Center Limited which was established in 1976.
The 20,000 square feet air-conditioned facility is located within the Oilfields Supply Center Limited complex in the Jebel Ali Free Zone. Christensen Gulf Services is API licensed (7-1-0639) for the following products: Drill stem subs; Drill collars; threading for rotary shouldered connections.

Machining
Christensen Gulf Services offers both manufacture and repair of down hole-tool components. Recently 3 CNC lathe machines with 500mm over bed swing and 3000m and 2000mm long capacities have been installed to offer our clients faster turn around for machined components with accurate results.
For larger components and casings a large CNC hollow spindle CNC lathe with 21”10/16” diameter is available with CNC control.
In addition to the CNC capabilities manual hollow spindle Lathes are also available for one off repairs and manufacturing for Drill stem subs; Drill collars; threading for rotary shouldered connections. Under our API license 7-1-0639.
Cylindrical external grinding machines are also employed to finish grind stabilisers and associated tool components up to 26” diameter.
Saw cutting of tubular materials up to 14” diameter can also be accommodated.
A phosphate facility for the protection of new and repaired thread connections is also incorporated in the workshop.
Welding and Fabrication
Christensen Gulf Services is capable of re-building worn stabilisers through a repair process using Metal Arc/MIG welding.
In addition to the rebuild process the reconditioning of the Tungsten Carbide inserts are also performed by utilising a Gas Powder spraying application.
Stabilisers are then finish ground to meet original Specifications.
Other general fabrication works are performed in accordance with clients’ specification/requirements.
Down-Hole Tool Servicing
Christensen Gulf Services provides a repair and refurbish facility for the repair of down-hole tools.
The down-hole tool service area comprises of 5 overhead cranes, two torque machines, Hydraulic vice/cylinders, spinner and mounding device.
The self centring torque machine is capable to break out and make up connections up to 150,000 ft/lbs of tubular O.D up to 13”.
Torque facility for casing /coupling up to 26” diameter.
Inspection Services
QC inspection is capable of visual, dimensional and NDT inspection in compliance to clients’ requirements and various standards which include API and DS1.
Certified level 2 inspectors for PT & MPI.
Borescope inspection capabilities for visual internal inspections.
Specialised inspection tooling for down-hole motor components.
